At a recent symposium for dance donors from more than 30 major Chicago area foundations, Gail Kalver, the former executive director of Hubbard Street Dance Chicago and one of the city's most enthusiastic dance supporters, listed some of the increasingly impressive signs that the art form has taken off here.
